MACROS

Macronutrients are the nutrients that our body needs in large amounts to function properly. There are three main macronutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

Carbohydrates are the body's main source of energy and can be found in foods like grains, fruits, and vegetables. Proteins help with building and repairing muscle and can be found in foods like meats, dairy, and beans. Fats are important for brain development and cell growth and can be found in foods like oils, nuts, and avocados.

 

You can think of macronutrients as the building blocks of a healthy diet, like the bricks in a house. Carbohydrates provide the energy to power our body, proteins help build and repair muscle, and fats are important for brain development and cell growth. Each macronutrient plays a unique and important role in our overall health and it is important to have a balance of all three in our diet.
